Post Surgical CT

Post Surgical CT

I’m having some pain in my side and back. So, in an abundance of caution, I scheduled and went in for a CT Scan. I have been holding off on starting to ramp up training until this happens and I find out if everything is where it needs to be. The results came back almost immediately with a soft tissue . . . something. I forwarded that information to my transplant coordinator, and she immediately responded that she forwarded it to the surgical team. So, we will see.

Last night, I took my daughter to practice. A friend of mine, who is a surgeon was there and slightly took me to task for not walking enough post surgery. In my defense, it is really really cold outside right now. So, in a fit of guilt, I remembered that there are still two malls open near me. So, today, I’m heading to one of them to get some steps in. I will state for the record right now that my selection was in no way predicated on which mall has a restaurant that serves fajitas. Well, it really was. I haven’t gotten out much in the last six weeks.

I’m a Fencer

I am a vet fencer. On December 9, 2024, I donated a kidney to my brother. This blog is the information I have gained in the recovery process and on my way back to national and international competition.
