I think I finally turned a corner. I have been able to practice three times a week. However, I I have been very gentle and stopped at the first indication of discomfort. While some isolated pain remains, the biggest inhibiting factor has been my back. It was weak enough before all this. Laying around and not using it has made it worse. So, I’m in PT for that.
After a nice practice yesterday morning with some great people, I stretched my back, and then walked later that day. I also applied some heat that night. In the past, back pain, post-practice laid me out for three days. This time, while still feeling the pain, I managed to hit the gym for the first time.
I did a very gentle workout, mainly stretching and cardio. Its a start. I feel really great about even having accomplished this little amount.
