Been a While

It has been far too long since I posted anything. Suffice to say that it appears I am fully recovered from the surgery. At about the 10 month mark, I was able to really start training again, but without weights. In the last few weeks, I have been able to reintroduce weight training back into my regiment. There is still some pain when I move certain ways, and if I let my diet go, but if I avoid those things, I am feeling really good, though out of shape.

With all that behind me, I am ramping up for my first national tournament in four weeks. There is a story behind why I am competing again so much sooner than I expected. I will sit down in the near future and lay that out.

I have been giving thought as to whether this site is worth it. I waffled back and forth, but I like to think that on some level it might help someone in the future. Perhaps that is arrogance and it is irrelevant. I’ve come to terms with that as well. So, I will get back to this in some force.

I’m a Fencer

I am a vet fencer. On December 9, 2024, I donated a kidney to my brother. This blog is the information I have gained in the recovery process and on my way back to national and international competition.
